Add another line to the crazy ideas list of Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez. She’s come up with some doozies in the past and this latest one is right up there.
As part of her “Green New Deal” for the environment, Ocasio-Cortez is calling for the abolition of air travel to, from, and within the United States, her reasoning being that jets are the most toxic polluters on earth. And she went on…and on…. Details straight from the horse’s mouth follow:
“The thing is, in this day and age, we don’t need super fast travel across country or between continents. We have the internet! We have video conferencing. We have virtual reality. We can see and experience any country or city on earth from the comfort of our own homes. And it’s safer that way! And you can put whatever you want in your destination! Like you can put the Grand Canyon in Greenland! Or the Vatican in New York! Or Trump Tower in Hell!
Of course, there would have to be an exception made for members of congress. We have to go back and forth from our homes to DC all the time. And we have to travel to exotic destinations for matters of state and stuff. Government stuff. It’s necessity. But that’s the only exception! Priority to the men and women who run this country because that benefits everyone!
Banning air travel will be a huge step toward saving the planet. It’s a must do.”
See how she conveniently allows herself to fly? Typical democrat. Do as I say, not as I do.
