To date, President Trump has taken almost 1,000,000 people off food stamps and half a million people off the welfare roles in this country. And he’s not done.
At a private function at Mar-a-Lago yesterday evening, Trump announced a new series of cuts to the welfare system of America. The cuts will be deep and will target able-bodied men and women by encouraging them to be more independent and not reliant on the government to take care of their lives. His speech was heartfelt, moving, powerful, and highlighted the successes of his own life as an example to others of how to get ahead.
“Question. Tell me what you think about me. I buy my own diamonds and I buy my own rings. I’m my own man. How do you feel about this? If you try to control me, boy, I will dismiss you. Fired!
I pay for my own fun and I pay my own bills. I’m independent, as I should be. As we all should be.
You see these shoes on my feet? I bought it.
The clothes I’m wearing? I bought it.
This rock on my hand that I’m rockin? I bought it.
I depend on me. I depend only on me!
It’s not easy being independent but I always have been and look at me now! I am the President of the United States!
How’d you like this knowledge that I brought you today? If you brag of cash that the government has given you, that’s a front. If you’re going to brag make sure it’s your money you flaunt. You should depend on no one else to give you what you want.
I’ve paid for everything on my own dime. Do you see this watch that I’m wearing? I bought it. I have the biggest, most fabulous house and guess what? I bought it. That car that I’m driving? I bought it. I depend only on me. I am independent.
You can be independent too but you have to want it. You have to want success. Take the bull by the horns and go for it. Someday you could be where I am. My changes to welfare will help you get there.”
President Trump is putting Americans back to work and giving them the confidence they need to succeed in life. This is the kick in the pants we’ve needed for decades.
