Democrat Congresswoman Rashida Tlaib proposed a modification to the attempted murder laws that would require mandatory face coverings for everyone when out in public. This proposal would mandate minimum prison sentences of no less than two years for each person whose face is not covered.
Children are not exempt from the law or punishment. Additionally, the parents or guardians of the children would receive the same sentence as their children and lose custody permanently.
Tlaib spokesman Joe Barron explained, “There’s a pandemic going on. People are dying. There are a lot of people who complain about the Constitution but haven’t actually read it. They don’t care about the lives of their fellow Americans.
These people are the scum of the earth and couldn’t be more proud. Since we don’t actually have Shania Law in the United States, our proposal is to charge anyone not wearing a mask with 3rd Degree Attempted Murder. The minimum sentence for this crime is two years.
It’s time that we show that we’re serious about winning the fight against the virus.”
Not everyone agrees with charging maskless people with a crime.
Republican Art Tubolls said, “This is clearly a step toward Shakira Law. There is no provision in the proposal that says anything about the pandemic. The next thing they’ll force on us is burqas and before you know it, we’ll turn into Obama’s dream of an Islamic state.
That will never happen on our watch. Face coverings signifiy control and a surrender of our rights. We will not stand for that.”
Tubolls had it right. The people of the United States do not care about each other.
The only way to unify them is against a common enemy, which is something that most Republicans can’t see right in front of them, thanks to an incompetent President and the media that refuses to paint anything he does in a bad light.
The comments on social media about this article also go to show how dumb the electorate is that they would actually believe that this type of punishment is even a possibility.
Remember, in Trump’s own words, “Person, woman, man, camera, TV.” When things like that are difficult, why even try to fix the hard things?
