Democratic Congresswomen Ilhan Omar and Rashida Tlaib are in the corner of ex-ISIS fighters who have had their citizenship revoked by their native countries. Their efforts to repatriate these ex-fighters are limited to countries in the Middle East only, particularly Iraq, Iran, and those countries on the Arabian Peninsula.
They have made it clear that they do not support the repatriation of former American citizens, saying “they made their choice.”
Democratic spokesperson Art Tubolls elaborated on the thoughts of the two Congresswomen.
“The repatriation of these former fighters will prevent many of them from going back to a life of terrorism. If they don’t have a country that they can call home, they will be persecuted and forced to move from one place to another. As time goes by, and they connect with other people going through the same situation, they will become extremely dangerous again.
Citizenship in their home countries will give them opportunities to build productive lives, once they have paid for their crimes. If it was up to the Congresswomen, these people who have perverted the peaceful religion of Islam would not see the light of day again.
This is why they do not support bringing any of these people back to the United States. We have enough problems with domestic terrorism, which start with the Executive Branch of our own government that we do not need to repatriate high risk individuals.”
As usual, Omar and Tlaib are putting the safety of American citizens ahead of their religion. We are lucky to have representatives in Congress with integrity and attention to the needs of the American people.
However, this is America and in America, we vote against our own best interest and are damn proud of it. Be sure to uphold this grand tradition and vote straight Republican this November and keep on owning those libs, even at your own expense.
