It’s well-known that Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez is a socialist and so despises all of our most beloved American capitalist institutions. If she had her dithers, she would get rid of them all - the education system, hospitals, social security, first responders, military……all of it. For the moment though, she has her sights set squarely on one area. Medicare.
Cortez was quoted earlier this week saying that “Medicare is the most blatantly capitalist institution in this nation. And it needs to go.”
She was relentless in her attack :
“What does Medicare do? It assists those who paid in. Who pays in? Those with money. So what about everyone else?
Once again, a system designed by the rich for the rich. Fewer and fewer people have the means to pay into these capitalist systems anymore. They are entitlements for a minority of the population that finds themselves in a position to contribute. The poor, meanwhile, suffer still. Are they worth less? Are they less American?
Did capitalism lead to cannibalism in the Andes?
Socialism tells us to take care of everybody. Eat the rich. You ever heard that? It means the poor will eat the rich to survive! It’s inevitable in capitalism!

Cortez has got to be the craziest congressperson ever in the history of our country. Thank goodness nobody listens to her lunatic raving.
