The Democrats love to pretend that they weren’t the party that started the Ku Klux Klan. But they are, and Beto O’Rourke just proved it.
The history is simple. The Democrats were the rotten racists who lived in the north and wanted to be mean to slaves, who were like family to southerners. So Our guy, Honest Abe, freed them. Then, that whole thing stopped mattering where Democrats, Republicans, and the Klan come in.
So we just don’t talk about it, otherwise, flags, statues, and all kinds of things just get confusing. At the end of the Civil War, all we need to know is, the Republicans won and the Democrats were replaced with people we built statues for, like Jefferson Davis and stuff. Dammit we were supposed to stay away from confusing.
Anyway, Nathan Bedford Forrest, a Democrat, started the KKK, and just last weekend Beto O’Rourke was spotted smiling next to a guy in a purple gown and pointy hood.
Beto denies that the rally was for Democrats, and insists that someone online keeps putting a cutout of him in strange places, possibly for satirical purposes.
As far as we’re concerned, he’s a Democrat so he’s a liar.
